Infrastructure Operations
The Kintone cloud service is operated/controlled with the security of customer data positioned as its highest priority.
Highly Reliable Infrastructure
Kintone utilizes Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting infrastructure.
Our services are geo-redundantly replicated across multiple availability zones for high availability and reliability.
Backup
When a customer updates information, data is written to the storage server and the same data is replicated and stored in a geographically remote location at the moment it is written. In the event of a major disaster or failure, this system configuration ensures system availability using the replicated data.
- *This function is intended as a countermeasure against unexpected server failure or disaster, not as a means of restoring lost data due to customer error.
Data deletion
Entered data, user information and audit logs are deleted 30 days after the termination of the service contract with Kintone.com. All backup data is completely deleted approximately two weeks after the initial data deletion.
Data and communications encryption
All transmitted and saved data is encrypted.
Fault-tolerant Measures
In order to offer a positive contribution to customer operations,
we run a system that is resilient to failure and rapidly restorable,
and we are always implementing measures to improve it.
Failure detection & restoration
We have established an environment and organization that restores operations as rapidly as possible in the event of a fault.
We also have systems in place that provide around-the-clock alive monitoring as well as a means of automatic recovery from hardware failures.
Uptime Figures
Operational/downtime figures for each month are publicly available.
- Uptime percentages
Uptime percentage = (hours services were available in the month)/(total hours in the month)
